About Purley Lodge
![]() |
Purley Lodge is a small friendly lodge formed over 100 Years ago. Our membership is growing and men from all walks of life enjoy each others companionship at regular meetings four times per year. We meet on the 4th Saturday of September, November, January and March. Each meeting is broken down into three parts. Firstly there are administration matters to deal with followed by a ceremony to initiate a new Brother or for another to progress within the lodge. Each September we hold the installation meeting of the new Master and his officers for the ensuing year. Each meeting is followed by a Festive Board where the Brethren dine together, enjoy each others company and make new friends if guests are in attendance. |
One question that is often asked is about cost. It is true to say
that we are self sufficient and do not rely on external contributions.
There is an annual membership fee, costs for dining and refreshments.
Each meeting Brethren make a charitable donation that is given to good
causes. The amount is entirely up to you and within your means.
During the course of our season we also meet each Thursday evening for
Lodge of Instruction, commonly referred to as LOI. This gives Brethren
the opportunity to rehearse the ceremony for the next regular meeting.
Your next step is to contact us to arrange a convenient time for you
to come along to our lodge and meet some of the members in an informal
and relaxed surrounding. This will give you the opportunity to look
around Croydon Halls and ask any questions you may have.
Please use the visit us page or call Dean Stewart on 07802 270407.
We look forward to meeting with you.
